Hello COTR people! I hope everyone had a GREAT 4th of July weekend. We are so blessed to live in the USA! What a great time we had this past weekend in worship. God spoke to us about living in Spiritual Freedom. It starts with breaking the chains of the past. The chains of the past are broken through spiritual rebirth and the revelation what happens through that rebirth. You must know that you or BORN AGAIN and you are a new creature in Christ! Then, we have to learn to do two things everyday… Remind ourselves of who we are in Christ, and throw the first punch! Start your day talking to God, crucifying the flesh, and binding the devil! Let’s go forward together in the freedom God has for us.
Wednesday Connection is back!
This Wednesday, the Connection is back…. COTR Elder Jesse Lewis will be sharing the word with us. Our Student ministry will continue with the theme Gladiators for God. RU Connected? Cone on Wednesday for you midweek spiritual boost.
Lakeland Revival
Please pray for me this week as I visit the Lakeland Revival in Lakeland Fla., one of places where God is moving in a unique way. Many of you have been watching this revival on GODTV on your televisions and computers as thousands have been coming together from all over the world for services at the airport and seeing many miracles. I am praying that God would impart spiritual refreshing to me during this time so I might lead the church more effectively.
Net Meeting is coming July 30th!
Our 5th Wednesday Men and Women’s Net Meeting will be taking place July 30th with special guest Chris and Sherron Jordan from Unity of Faith Worship Center. We will have a FREE fish fry dinner for all who want to come early. Start signing up this coming weekend.
Reminder: Are you opening your circle?
We know that every Sunday there are people visiting COTR for the first time. The good news is that most of those people love the church and comment on the friendly atmosphere, powerful worship and teaching, and how they feel the presence of God when they drive on the property! But I do still here people so that while the atmosphere is friendly, very few people come up and talk with them before, after or during service. If you are not sure if someone is knew or not because of the constant growth, go ahead and assume they don’t know anybody and talk with them. And if you see a COTR person for the first time in a while, greet them as well. In other words, be the one to open your circle of love and friendship, don’t count on the next person to do it. Remember, people are not just looking for a friendly church, they are looking for friends!!
Lisa and I love you very much
